Dragons are made of people.
This Dragon:
They are older and they have learned of cruelty.
Their prey is a friend I will lose this day,
To the cynical--
so young to be so bitter--
she isn't a part of my Creation,
but I don't know that now.
They tease her with water they claim is acid--
after she drinks the water
They claim it is Acid--
I hear
their laughter and it is not the laughter of my World.
I see innocence leave her eyes, and the seed of wisdom sown,
But a hardness is there now, when she cried
at first it was the cry of horror and fear,
but her cry becomes the cry of anger,
and though I try to save her Faith, I see in her eyes not the thanks of her words,
but the pity she feels that I still look upon the World with Trust.
She will never trust, and so will never receive it.
She has been devoured,
by
the
Dragon.
